13 DAY SAMBURU/ ABERDARES/ MARA/ AMBOSELI/ TSAVO WESTDay 1: – Nairobi
On arrival at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by African Discoveries representative and be transferred to Nairobi Safari Club on bed and breakfast. If not very tired due to jetlag, take advantage of a City Tour courtesy of African discoveries for free.
Day 2: -Samburu
After breakfast commence your safari, driving up north to Samburu National Reserve arriving in time for your lunch. After siesta, enjoy a late afternoon game drive in this unique wildlife paradise. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Serena Lodge.
Day 3: – Samburu
Full day in Samburu with two game viewing in the morning and again in the afternoon. All meals and overnight at Samburu Serena Lodge
Day 4-: – Aberdares
After breakfast continue to Aberdares National Park. (There is need to leave to early after breakfast to arrive in good time for lunch which will be served at The Aberdares Country Club. The transfer to the Ark will be done by the Club’s Vehicle). Arrive in time for lunch at The Aberdare Country Club, which is a Base Hotel for the Ark. After lunch you will be transferred to the tree lodge (the Ark) for dinner and overnight. The lodge is situated deep in the forest. Throughout the day and night forest animals visit the waterhole and saltlick, ensuring you many exciting moments.
Day 5: – Lake Nakuru
After breakfast leave for Lake Nakuru National park down the escarpment, arriving in time for lunch at Lake Nakuru Lodge. Lake Nakuru is a renowned for its large variety of world famous birds: the Flamingos. It is possible to see the other game such as Rhino, Water bucks, Impala, Buffalo and Gazelle in the surrounding gardens. Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge
Day 6: – Masai Mara
After breakfast depart for Masai Mara National Reserve. Drive South along the floor of the Great Rift Valley via Narok climbing the Western Wall entering Hemingway’s Country “Serengeti Plains”. Arrive in time for lunch at Mara Sopa lodge. After lunch, and a brief siesta, proceed for a late afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge.
Day 7: – Masai Mara
Full day in Masai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives in search of elephant, Zebra, Wildebeest, Rhino, Buffalo, Lion, Cheetah, Leopard and other plains game. All meals and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge.
Day 8: – Lake Naivasha
After breakfast depart for Lake Naivasha, one of the gems in a necklace of Rift Valley Lakes. Arrive in time for lunch at L. Naivasha Sopa Lodge. Lake Naivasha is famous for its remarkable variety of bird life and its hippo colonies. You will take a boat ride to Crescent Island, one of the few places in Africa where you can wonder on foot among zebra, wildebeest, gazelle and giraffe. All mealsand overnight at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge.
Day 9: -Amboseli
After early breakfast you will depart for Amboseli National Park arriving in time for lunch. After lunch take an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Sopa Lodge.
Day 10: – Amboseli
Full day in Amboseli with two game viewing in the morning and again in the late afternoon with magnificent view of Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest Mountain in Africa. All meals and overnight at Amboseli Sopa Lodge
Day 11:- Tsavo West
After breakfast commence your safari to Tsavo West National Park with game viewing en-route, arriving in time for lunch. You will spend two full days in this magnificent park with game drives that will lead you from one natural wonder to another. Chief among these ranks the marvel of Mzima Springs, replenished with twenty million litres of crystal-clear water a day from underground streams of the nearby Chyulu Hills. The springs form a haven for many different animal species. Among the common animals to be found in Tsavo are the fringe-eared Oryx, the Gerenuk and Hunter’s hartebeest. In addition to lion, leopard and cheetah, caracal and hyena are also to be found. Dinner and overnight at Kilaguni Lodge.
Day 12:- Tsavo West
Spend another full day in this natural animal paradise with two game drives. One in the morning and the other in the afternoon. All meals (breakfast, lunch & dinner) and overnight at Kilaguni Lodge.
Day 13:- Nairobi- Departure
Enjoy your morning breakfast before commencing your journey back to Nairobi at around 8:30 a.m. arriving in Nairobi in the afternoon. Depending on your flight departure time, and at your convenience, you will be transferred to the airport to catch your outbound flight back home.
